Compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your needs
Clinical Assessment, Psychotherapy, Career and Life Counseling
I have over 25 years' experience as a licensed clinical psychologist working with children, teens, and adults. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and stress-related problems, such as panic, phobias, generalized anxiety, PTSD, and anxiety related to medical conditions, such as lung disease and cancer.
I am also experienced in treating a wide variety psychological problems, including depression, insomnia, trichotillomania, tinnitus, and health-related behavior change, such as increasing physical activity.
I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience from Brown University, and an MS and PhD in Psychology from Rutgers. I completed postdoctoral fellowships in the Departments of Psychiatry and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle. Before going into private practice, I was a professor in the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where, in addition to teaching and clinical practice, I conducted research on the causes and treatment of anxiety, PTSD, and physical symptoms.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association, the Redwood Psychological Association, and the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
